Master plan for a site with various buildings for storage, conditioned repacking of liquids and powders, handling of products for the pharmaceutical and food industry. A first storage building of 10,000 m2 was completed in 2008 and, in addition to clean rooms, storage areas and a loading and unloading zone, also includes a section with deep-freeze facilities. In 2017, a new storage and production building of 17,000 m2 was realized with an office area for the administrative functions and management. The architecture and appearance of the building is the result of the requirements necessitated by the storage compartments. The height was determined in view of stacking in racks where the principle of narrow aisles was applied. Explosion protection for certain storage units, insulation for units where cooling is used, etc…. gives a variation in facade materials but was harmoniously brought together through the use of different shades of gray and well-considered material transitions. The office area was fitted with black facade cladding and windows and provides a contrast to the long gray facades of the storage building. The offices themselves have been fitted with open and bright offices that provide an abundance of site views and natural light to create a pleasant working environment. The buildings are positioned opposite each other to keep the circulation on the site safe and well-arranged with a large distance between them. From the offices one has a global overview of the site and the circulation to and from the public road everywhere.

The storage hall is divided into several smaller compartments for storage of different product types that must be strictly separated from each other. The storage compartments are between 1000 m2 and 2400 m2. The repacking areas are equipped with the necessary safety provisions (some ATEX). Safety features have gone a long way in this building up to and including completely separate sewage systems that are led outside the building to emergency sump pits. In the event of an emergency, this concept supports the safety of the site. The storage compartments have a clear height of 11m and are arranged around a central corridor for forklift traffic on the ground floor. The floor above this central corridor contains several separate technical areas where the cooling and ventilation installations were placed in order to keep the techniques very compact in the compartments. An office building in 3 storeys was placed against the storage building. It contains workplaces, meeting rooms, staff facilities and a reception area for visitors. The facades of the building are made of sandwich panels and concrete panels in gray tones. The canopies are covered with black lacquered sinusoidal metal profile sheets. This color scheme was continued in the adjacent office.
